EXPERIENCING & SHARING GRATITUDE IN THE FACE OF AI
So grateful to be part of the International Artistic Research Event of Marathon 19-31 July 2024, after the invitation from The Makings of The Actor Company, in order to present the first part of my research on “The Internationalization of Ancient Greek Theatre and The Transfer of Ethics Through Centuries”, which was firstly published in America as a contribution in the university book “Business Ethics & Deontology”, by Thanopoulos & Petratos, 2020.
RELIVING THE EXPERIENCE
Creating a safe, democratic and fertile space in time, all the participants we have the opportunity to listen and offer our questions and contributions. The result is a flow of knowledge and energy for consideration, so each one of us can reach one day his personal and common wisdom for Art Creation.
Each one of the speakers is unique and valuable.
Starting with Dr. Kiki Selioni, the first reason why we are all there, as the founder, artistic director of the “Makings of the Actor” Company and a movement teacher. She is a woman with vision, deep ancient greek philosophical basis, knowledge of her artcraft and a powerful intention to research, protect and expand the Art of the Actor. Continuing with Dr. Olu Taiwo, the next vital pillar of the meeting conversations. A Senior Lecturer in Performing Arts of University of Winchester, artist and researcher. A human full of inner wealth and light, who generously offers his wisdom and always tunes the meeting in a higher frequency. Also, I refer to Lars Henning (artistic director of CISPA) who speaks about the importance of the somatic experience and the body as a witness; Dr. Bharat Gupt (DU Professor), who emphasizes the value of theatre as “Hieropraxis“; Dr. Michel Seibel, who offers his Theory of Phenomenology in Acting; Angelo Romagnoli, Vicky Spanovangelis, Liz Marsh, Sofia Stavropoulou etc. Another important contribution is Dr. Dionysios Tsaftaridis’s research presentation about “Chaos and Order”, which is combined with his two-day workshop, so that we can experience these ideas in action.
Last but not least, this artistic research event closes with the two-day workshop of Kasper Ravnhøj, the artistic director of Mute Company. He is a danish teacher, dancer and international artist, who offers us his unique wisdom about the readiness, flow and the intuition in movement through his own example of movement mastery.
